Why does my right foot always twitch when I'm drifting off to sleep?

your muscles are relaxing from the day. mine do that also that is when i know i am relaxed enough to sleep.

It could be from medication. I used to take a medication and when I got off of it it caused me to have muscle spasms. When I am dosing off my leg or my arm will start to spasm. It is very annoying. If that is not the case then maybe you need to go see a dr.
