Why does it do this?

about a month ago i was helpin my bf move and hurt my rotator cuff. than two weeks later i was reachin for somethin with the arm of the shoulder and heard a pop in my shoulder and some bones move, my shoulder felt better after that. a few days after that my shoulder flared up real bad it hurt so much i almost cried. i went to doc got shoulder immobilizer and cortizone but not into muscle. than today i moved my shoulder and again some bones moved in it and i feel way better. will it flare up again, why does this happen?
Answer:
It was flared due to inflammation but I'm not sure whether that "bone" sound is a sign of your shoulder return to it's normal position (I suspected a minor dislocation or just some damage to your ligament).
You mobilized your shoulder though it's immobilized or has it already been removed? Better not to move your shoulder first because it's immobilized. Then, after it is removed better to consult to medical rehabilitation to train your muscle because it's been immobilized.
If you wanna check it out do an X-Ray but if you've done some x-ray you wait before you take another one. Normally around 6 months. Get better soon ^^.
It sounds like you may need some physical therapy. When you went to the doctor, did he/she suggest any exercises to help your shoulder heal or did he/she just throw medicine at it (cortizone, etc.)? I ask because if that is the case, go see another doctor. Medicine only addresses the effect and rarely the cause. There are simple exercises you can do to help strengthen the muscles in your shoulder that should not cause distress in your rotator cup but I would not recommend you do any of them until you have seen a doctor who has the sense to fully assess what is wrong and why you are having ongoing issues. Curing the pain is all well and good but what is the point of making the pain go away if they don't deal with why you are in pain to begin with? If you have insurance, they will pay for you to get a second opinion. But don't wait to see if it flares up again or causes more pain. See a different doctor asap and see if you can't get some better answers about how to not be in so much pain.
