Why is it so hard to stay awake?

i go to bed- at least around 10 o'clock. don't find myself sleeping until 12-2 o' clock. I have no kids to look after , my grandmother has a health care worker helping her during the mornings. i don't know why when i try to wake up on time I go back to sleep and wake up ahalf an hour before class starts and it takes me an half hour to get there. barely wake enough to type.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz thanks for advice
Answer:
one thing you may want to take a look at is whether you drink caffeinated drinks after 3:00 PM. I used to do that on a regular basis and didn't think the caffeine affected me. Then I completely quit drinking coffee or soda after 2 or 3:00 PM and it made a huge difference in how quickly I fell asleep and also how soundly I slept, therefore waking up feeling more refreshed, etc. If you currently don't drink any caffeine, try unwinding an hour or two before bed, by soaking in a hot bath, with the lights down low, or reading a good book in bed, or listening to soft music you enjoy. Don't watch tv, exercise or eat alot of food before bed. Eating too close to bedtime will cause your body to spend too much energy digesting food, and not being able to relax. Good luck!!
me too me too~!!! I would exercise.
find smth that motivets you
because u have nothing to do all day and ur full of energy so thats why get a hobby
Visit your doctor as something is draining you out. Try go to bed early and listen to some relaxing music to help you sleep.
because even when you are awake you areally asleep
Try some coffee, it works wonders
Depending on your age and general health you should get eight hours sleep each night---since you have not given me any History I can only Give you a Routine answer---IF you Have no Physical Ailments or Physical Pain that would Keep you from COMFORTABLY getting to sleep---IF You do not Take any Drugs or Alcohol---AND IF Your Bed is Comfortable ---and the room is Dark,Warm,Quiet, and Still---and IF you Eat Healthy Foods in Reasonable Quantities---AND IF,When you get into bed to sleep, you EMPTY your mind of all the problems of the day---Think of NOTHING and SLEEP-SLEEP-SLEEP---Then there should not be any problem---BUT IF you get NO Satisfaction from My Suggestions---You MUST See a Professional---Sleep Deprivation CAN Make you Sicker than you feel now---Learn to Relax---Signed---JEM
How is your sugar and caffeine intake when you are awake? Too much can be very detrimental to your energy level. Plus, exercise makes all the difference in the world. Could you be depressed?
Check your medications. I was like that and my doctor found out I had a low thyroid so now I take thyroid medication. I also take pain meds, and that tends to make me sleep more but not as much since I take the thyroid meds.
It sounds like your sleep cycle is off. When I get that way, I use prescription Lunesta. It is relatively harmless and puts me back on proper schedule with just one dose. Other alternatives include one or two glasses of red wine a couple of nights per week about half hour before bedtime; Benedryl one or two nights per week; some type of protein with tryptophan (small turkey sandwich one hour before bedtime); a teaspoon of cornstarch in bedtime drink that does not have alcohol or sugar in it.
Stress causes this. I am a teacher. I get stressed all the time, especially with report cards, exams and huge projects. Everything HAS to be done right then and there for me; I am a perfectionist. Therefore, I don't sleep. I am up at all hours of the night doing what needs to be done. I get up at 3:00 a.m. just to finish something before getting ready for work. My doc prescribed Zanax to ease the tension and allow me to sleep. I have gone 3 days with barely 6 hours of sleep in my system in the past! Now I get my 6-8 each night. My suggestion- go talk to your PCP. It's the best thing I did.

Why is it so hard to get up, but so easy to go to sleep?

Answer:
Because you do not get enough sleep.
It sounds like you are not getting enough sleep, and/or the quality of your sleep is not high enough. Be thankful that you don't have trouble going to sleep though! Do you have trouble getting up because you are tired, or is it because you are not looking forward to your day? If you have to get up before dawn you might try one of those alarm clocks that gradually emits light into a room, emulating a sunrise. Your body responds naturally to the rising and setting of the sun even if you are not aware that it is happening.
When you get up you have the whole day ahead of you, but when you lay down it is all behind you.
im the complete opposite

Why is it so cold?

I put ice on my throbbing knee for about 1 hour and just took it off. My knee is so cold and i dont' know what to do. It's more annoying than when my knee was throbbing. Why is it so cold?
Answer:
Hmmm ice . . . . cold . . .hmmmmm let me think
Because you put ice on it. Either that or, if it is blue, you have no blood circulating to it.
i bet ur a blonde right
Because you had the ice on for to long, it should only be applied for 15 minutes max. You might have damaged your skin.
b/c you put something cold on ur knee. That's why it's cold.Take a bath that will ease itt.
Don't put ice directly on you're knee. Put a cloth on your knee %26 then the ice. 15 minutes at a time
BECAUSE YOU PUT ICE
you never leave ice on somethign you hurt for long periods of time. It makes everythign worse then before you put it on. next time try putting it on for a shorter period of time like 15 min and hten take it off and put it back on
I played a lot of sports and got a lot of injuries. I was always told that you are supposed to ice 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. Plus you have to put a thin layer between the ice and your skin, such as a dish towel or something equivalent. If you ice for a straight hour with no barrier in between, you are at serious risk of damaging your skin or making the injury worse. Do 20 minutes on...20 minutes off. Use a thin barrier.
You probably left the ice on it too long.

Why is it mostly women and girls who suffer from eating disorders?

Maybe a bit of a stupid question, but is there any research about this or anything?
Answer:
Look at any magazine for women full of stick thin models and skinny vile creatures like victoria beckham. On one page they ahev oh big is beautiful the next how to lost weight while modelling clothes on women who eat dust!! its distgusting and horrible and eating disorders are horrible for the sufferer believe me I know!!! one comment once that I looked like a fat Kate Moss has resulted in 14 years of an eating disorder
Is it that women and girls are more likely to come forwards? Or the media hype on women to look good is far stronger than that on men!!
Because men aren't so vain.
Women tend to overanalyze their own bodies. They see the details, where men tend to see a bigger picture. And, there is more pressure from society on women to be perfect, skinny, model-y type people.
I think it is to do with the media's constant projection of what they think our shape should be. Size zero or ten is usually what is imprinted into our thoughts. Not many magazines use larger sized models. When did you last see the latest Hollywood hunk parade with a real sized wench? Eating disorders can be for some people a way of taking control of their lives. An area in which they think they have total control over what happens to them.
I think men are probably starting to catch up, but are less likely to admit it for fear of being ridiculed.
I think that part of it has to be that certainly in the past there has been more social pressure in western society for women in particular to be thin. The reason for this particular image of beauty being desirable in our culture probably has something to do with it being a very unthreatening look. To be thin and waif like, does not put forth an image of strength or an image of a challenging person. Some of it is also probably that it is an unattainable look for normal healthy people which is why the beauty industry sells it as desirable. If it was easy to attain after all you would not need to buy products to attain it and companies would not make any money. So they peddle this image because it makes them money.Men have traditionally not been included as a target market for such products but now having conquored and brainwashed women and young girls the market has begun to spread to men it increase profits. These companies prey in a very insideous way on people's insecurities and they do it for the most immoral of reasons- to make money. There is nothing wrong with a capitalist venture but when you put profit ahead of the mental and physical well-being of your target market then there is something very very wrong at work.Take the slogun "because you're worth it" just as an example. What does this mean? "if I don't buy this product- am I not worth it?"The language that is used and the images that are flashed are generally targetted at women, and they prey very directly upon female insecurities and even aim to create ones where they did not previously exisit. This is why women are more likely to fall foul of eating disorders than men, though give it time.and I'm sure men will begin to be suckered into it too.S
x
I think woman seek help and admit they need help . I reckon there are lots of men out there with these problems too but are not geared to admit they need help - men seem to have difficulty asking for help .
I think there is a lot more media pressure and peer pressure for females. There are lots of survey reports completed yearly by universities and colleges in an effort to find out the reasons why it affects some groups more than others. have a look at google and type in eating disorder surveys. That Will tell you a lot more than I can type here.
It depends on who you talk to...this artical talks about some of the studies done.http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:ktq...
no eating disorders are most common in teenage boys and young adult males, they just go unnoticed as the stereo type is for a girl to have an eating disorder..its been found that more males have them than females

Why is it I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat all day, but at night I can't get to sleep?

It doesn't seem to matter whether I fight the urge to sleep during the day or not, I am just SO unable to get to sleep at bed time. Even when I do go to sleep I can't stay asleep!
I don't stay in bed sleeping late.
I am active through the day.
Yes, I have got plenty of things to worry about, but I'm not exactly "thinking" about them all night.
I'm a 49 year old female.
I have many health problems and am on a whole host of medicine.
I've tried malatonin, but it only "works" sometimes.
Answer:
Look at your picture. You are a feline. You are nocturnal.Sleep during the day. Stay awake at night. Problem solved.
You may have insomnia. You should check your meds for side effects like insomnia or loss of sleep. If you can't find anything about it ask your doctor about it.
narcolepsy. plenty of info on the web. can be the result of obstructive sleep apnea, a condition where you have periods of not breathing at night. these episodes result in constant awakenings, so that you are tired all day.
when are you taking your medications? if you primarily take them during the day-they could be making you drowsy and unable to stay awake or struggle with it. once the medication wears off, then your body becomes more alertif you are taking them at nite and they have common side effects of causing insomnia, they could be keeping you awake or causing you to have broken sleep.talk to your dr about your medications and best routine for taking them (if you haven't already done so)otherwise, sometimes people's sleep patterns abruptly change. you could be over sensitive to stress eventhough it doesn't seem like it and this could be effecting your sleep.talk with your dr about ways to curb this or about possibly taking medication to help you sleep at nitegood luck to you

Why is health care insurance so expensive?

Answer:
Well, for people in GROUP plans, everyone鈥檚 premium is the same, and determined by averaging the risk for the group. That works out great for the sickest guy in the group, as he鈥檚 paying less than he would if buying insurance based on his personal health, but it鈥檚 not so hot for the young, healthy person who ends up paying more. That鈥檚 why I鈥檓 looking at INDIVIDUAL health care plans, where the rate is based on MY health and age. In fact, I saw something online that is pretty cool, and I鈥檓 surprised no one thought of it sooner. There鈥檚 a company called Precedent offering low cost individual health plans in Texas for young, reasonably healthy people. You buy into a plan at a super low cost with fixed benefits that will cover the typical activities and preventative care of a healthy person. Then, if something catastrophic happens, you have the option to get additional levels of coverage, even AFTER the event. You鈥檇 have to check it out for more details, but there appear to be options for people like me who can鈥檛 afford outrageous premiums, http://www.precedent.com Even if you鈥檙e not in Texas, my understanding is that they鈥檒l be offering plans in additional states soon. Hope this helps!
because health care itself is so expensive. And there are many reasons for that:Charity or deadbeat cases that don't pay (I'm not saying those are the same) Frivolous Lawsuits driving up malpractice insurance and scaring doctors into ordering tons of unnecessary tests just so they can defend themselves IF.Pharmaceutical companies have about 5 years to recoup the literally BILLIONS of dollars it costs to take a drug to market, before other companies can make generic versions and undercut them . Those are just a few factors going into a very complicated issue.
ooooh i know this one!because they don't reimburse providers enough, so providers have to raise their overall prices, so insurance companies raise their rates with the reasoning that providers prices are too high, when they don't pay providers any more $$its all a big scam
Health provider and administrator's ego. Everyone thinks they should get more than the other resulting in spiraling salaries.
From what a relative who is in family practice tells me malpractice insurance and administrative costs are the two main causes.Although he's never been sued he still must pay almost $100K in malpractice insurance annually. And to stay covered AFTER he retires he will have to pay about $80K for five years. That is a healthy nut to have to crack every year. There is actually more money spent by medical practices handling paperwork at all levels than is actually spent on diagnostics and treatment. That is why two Tylenol given to you by a nurse in a hospital costs more than two bottles of Tylenol bought in a drug store. There are other factors that increase cost but those are the two worst. And here's another thing to consider. Insurance companies are designed to NEVER lose money. Insurance companies bet something isn't going to happen. When you buy insurnace you are betting something will. Either way YOU are going to pay for it.

Why is eosin in my first aid kit?

Answer:
Eosin is a red fluorescent dye resulting from the action of bromine on fluorescein. It can be used to stain cytoplasm, collagen and muscle fibers for examination under the microscope. So you could see them under microscopes..i dont think you would need it unless you carry a micro.. around with you LOLAlec
Look at the label and see if you are spelling it right.I have never heard of eosin.
It's a biological dye. To use under a microscope. I don't know what you would use it for.
?

Why i always want to sleep all time?

i feel i want to sleep all time some times more than 8h %26 i feel
bain in my body %26 headach .most of time i feel sad %26 nothing
make me feel happy even i take prozac tablets.
Answer:
Depression can cause many physical symptoms such as body aches and fatigue. It may be that you need to adjust your dose of prozac or perhaps try a new drug. Please talk to your doc!!
You could have narcolepsy. Talk to a Dr.
Tell your psychiatrist about this, you need to adjust your meds.
I hate to say it but it probably IS the prozac which knocks your whole system out of whack! Get some full range B-100s and take them with food...wait..they need to replace the damage and it might take a few days..you should start to feel better and happier ..realize what you give your attention to grows.look for something that will make you happy.do it... look at your life and change what you dont like...try...dont give up. hope it helps.
Because you don't have to think about anything%26gt;%26gt;sleep is the cosmic tranquilizer. I have narcolepsy %26 you don't know when your going to nod off or for how long. Narcoleptics don't desire sleep they are un-aware of when it will snooze them %26 believe me after awhile you are immune to the Ritalin and can sleep 10 minutes after you take it. Sounds like you should have your internist change your med to something else.
depression can cause physical pain, talk to a doctor that knows about depression
you need to talk to your Doctor about this--could be side effect from the Prozac--or you might need a sleep study for possible sleep apnea--sleep study does not hurt--they just tape a few colored wires in various places on your body and you sleep there overnight--sometimes they allow someone to go with you. I had it done and boy am I ever glad I did! I ended up needing a CPAP machine (just a mask that fits on your face and blows air into your lungs)--you feel a lot better and less sleepy using that machine if you have sleep apnea--lots of people have it.
What happens with sleep apnea is you stop breathing for sometimes just a few seconds but then your body must respond to a wake-up call so your sleep is interrupted--thus your sleep is not sound--so when you wake up you are still tired--you may wanna look into this and discuss it with your Doctor. It sure helped me out!
Have you tried better nutrition? Sometimes your body isn't getting what it needs and it doesn't want to function properly. I used to be on antidepressants and I found that giving my body what it needed worked better than the drugs. Try out this website, anhealthylifemall.com It talks alot about weight loss, but don't worry about that. Look at the vitamin call formula 2 and they have two other products called liftoff and NRG. It may not solve all your problems but it may be a start in the right direction.

Why have i got such a ry mouth?

r there any reasons?
Answer:
If you don't take any medications, you need to:Increase your water intake, 6-8 glasses of pure water /day.If you smoke or chew tobacco, quitting will reduce your dry mouth symptoms.Breathe through your nose, not your mouth. Add moisture to the air at night with a room humidifier.
What is a ry mouth? Is this welsh?
well im not sure ive never heard of a ry mouthbutif you mean a dry mouth.. maybe its because you need some fluids in your system... you are probably thirsty or dehydrated... drink some water
you need a drink?
Type any medications you may be on into the internet and see if it is a side effect of the meds. If not..time to start getting at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Sounds like your stoned ,you're certainly confused enough.

Why hasnt my ankle healed after9 weeks?

Answer:
THAT'S REALLY BAD GO SEE YOUR GP QUICK
U DON'T WANT IT TO GET INFECTED
Have you been walking on it or have you done what the doctor says?? Prop it up when you can and keep ice on it. I broke a bone in my foot 5 days ago and I don't take my advice. I did for 3 days though.
This depends on what you did to your ankle...I am just gonna assume you sprained it...if so, then 9 weeks is a long time...the trick with sprains is, you have to do RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate) but you also can't baby it by staying off it too much...walk the sprain out (not fast but a nice, normal pace), also do RICE...take aspirin don't use crutches and don't wear those silly air casts the doctors give you, they just prolong the healing process...but DO wrap it in an Ace bandage,
Perhaps it wasn't set back correctly. Or maybe you are allergic to something that is used to make it heal (I was allergic to the inside stitches when I had surgery on my foot once---it stayed in different casts for over 9 months). Tell your doctor to run tests, or seek a second opinion.
Some more details on what happened to your ankle would help but it depends on what you've been doing, wait-bearing etc
For most things like sprains, torn tendons and ligaments it should have healed by now(like about 5-6 weeks ago even) but if anything was fractured that's a whole other kettle of fish and depends on what bone what type of fracture and again what activities you've been doing
Have you sprained your ankle? If so it should have resolved by week 3.As you still have symptoms - pain , swelling , ankle giving way? Then you probably have a partial or complete tear of the talo-fibular ligament complex. You need to get your ankle examined and if this is confirmed seen by an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in ankles.
GO TO THE BONE DOC OR ER OR OR OR HEART DOC
Go to the doctors and make sure they sort it out!
I need a bit more information to go on sorry, wheres the fracture, what type off fracture, have you a cast on etc email me and i can try and help.
You haven't said what kind of injury you had. Different injuries takes different times to heal. A sprain usually involves torn ligaments, torn muscles and broken blood vessels and this takes much longer to heal then a break which is much more straighforwad. If you are worried speak to your doctor who may decide it is time for a X-ray to see what is going on.

Why has the heat been bothering me so much lately?

I didn't think I was a wimp, and its not even that hot. 80s. But now when Im outside and do a little activity, I get so warm, red in the face, my lips get white, and I get a pounding headache. I do try and drink plently of water and stay in the shade as much as possible. Im not over weight but I do have fair skin. Any ideas?
Answer:
Here are a couple of things that may help you to deal with heat better. This first one is from CBS news. (CBS) During hot summer months, people can run into some serious heat-related health problems, especially children under four, people over 65, and those who are obese, already ill, or taking medications. And heat can be a problem indoors or outdoors. As The Early Show medical correspondent Dr. Emily Senay explains, prolonged exposure to heat and insufficient body fluid can result in heat exhaustion. Its symptoms can include heavy sweating, paleness, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness headache and nausea or vomiting. Heat exhaustion can affect the elderly, people with high blood pressure, and those who work outside. Outdoor workers may also be prone to heat rash from prolonged sweating, or heat cramps from too much exertion. Heat can also lead to other, more serious problems. Normally, our bodies can cool down by sweating, but in extreme heat, the body can lose its ability to regulate temperature. The sweating function fails, and body temperature rises rapidly, resulting in heat stroke. Heat stroke is a serious medical condition that can damage the brain and other organs, and even kill you. Heat stroke symptoms can vary, but you want to watch out for red, hot and dry skin; rapid, strong pulse; throbbing headache, dizziness, nausea, confusion and unconsciousness. If you think someone might be suffering from heat stroke, call 911. And then cool them down any way you can until help arrives. Get them to the shade or an air conditioned area. Spray or sponge them with cold water, or immerse them in a tub of cold water if possible. If it's not too humid, you can wrap the victim in a wet sheet and fan him or her vigorously. You want to get the victim's body temperature to go down to 101 to 102 degrees. To avoid heat-related illness, drink plenty of nonalcoholic fluids, pace yourself when working outdoors, replace salts and minerals, wear lightweight clothing, seek air conditioning, and take cold showers. Use common sense. Schedule your outdoor activities to avoid the hottest parts of the day, and use a buddy system if necessary to keep watch on those at high risk. If you don't have air conditioning where you live, try to find a public place that does, such as a mall or library. Even just a few hours of air conditioning a day can reduce the risk of heat-related illness. This is another one, from Sportsmedicine.com:Dealing with heat illness, heat stoke, exhaustion, cramps and sunburnWe notmally regulate our body temperature by sweating. But some reasons limit our sweat response during extreme conditions. High humidity, age, obesity, fever, dehydration, disease, and drug and alcohol use all limit our ability to sweat.
To protect your health when temperatures use these strategies:Drink Fluids
During heavy exercise in a hot weather drink 16-32 ounces of cool fluids per hour.Replace Salt and Minerals
Sweat leeches salt and minerals from the body. The easiest way to replace these are with foods or sports drinks.Wear Appropriate Clothing / Sunscreen
Choose lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. In the hot sun, a hat and sunscren is helpful. Sunburn decreases your ability to cool yourself and causes fluids loss.
Acclimate
You will have a greater tolerance if you become accustomed to the heat slowly If traveling to a hotter climate, allow several days to become acclimated before vigorous exercise, and work up to it gradually.Use Common Sense
Avoid hot foods and heavy meals-they add heat to your body. Limit sun exposure during the mid-day hours. You may possibly have heat stroke. Here is another article from about.com that may help you out and tell you a bit about some of these things:Heat EmergenciesHeat Exhaustion
Heat exhaustion is the body's response to an excessive loss of water and salt through sweat.Signs of Heat Exhaustion heavy sweating
paleness
muscle cramps
tiredness
weakness
dizziness
headache
nausea or vomiting
fainting
The skin may be cool and moist
The victim's pulse rate will be fast and weak
Breathing will be fast and shallow.
If heat exhaustion is untreated, it may lead to heat stroke. Seek medical attention immediately if symptoms are severe.Treatmentdrink cool, non-alcoholic beverages
rest
take a cool shower, bath, or sponge bath
get into an air-conditioned environment
wear lightweight clothing
Heat Stroke
Heat stroke occurs when the body becomes unable to control its temperature and the sweating mechanism fails so the body is unable to cool down. Body temperature may rise to 106掳F or higher within 10-15 minutes. Heat stroke is serious and lead to death or permanent disability.
Signs of Heat Stroke an extremely high body temperature (above 103掳F)
red, hot, and dry skin (no sweating)
rapid, strong pulse
throbbing headache
dizziness
nausea
confusion
unconsciousness
Treatment
Call for immediate medical assistance and cool the victim immediately.Cool the victim rapidly using whatever methods you can: immerse in a tub of cool water; place in a cool shower; spray with cool water from a garden hose; sponge with cool water; or if the humidity is low, wrap the victim in a cool, wet sheet and fan him or her vigorously.Monitor the person's body temperature, and continue cooling until the temperature drops to 101-102掳F. Get medical assistance as soon as possible.Other Heat Illness
Heat Cramps
Heat cramps usually affect people who sweat a lot during strenuous activity. This sweating depletes the body's salt and moisture. Heat cramps are muscle pains or spasms - usually in the abdomen, arms, or legs - that may occur in association with strenuous activity.TreatmentStop activity, and sit quietly in a cool place.
Drink clear juice or a sports beverage.
Do not return to strenuous activity for a few hours after the cramps subside
Seek medical attention for heat cramps if they do not subside in 1 hour.
Sunburn
Sunburn should be avoided because it is damaging to the skin. Although the discomfort is usually minor and healing often occurs in about a week, a more severe sunburn may require medical attention.Recognizing Sunburn
Symptoms of sunburn are well known: skin becomes red, painful, and abnormally warm after sun exposure.TreatmentAvoid repeated sun exposure.
Apply cold compresses or immerse the sunburned area in cool water.
Apply moisturizing lotion to affected areas. Do not use salve, butter, or ointment.
Do not break blisters.
Heat Rash
Heat rash is a skin irritation caused by excessive sweating during hot, humid weather. It can occur at any age but is most common in young children. Heat rash looks like a red cluster of pimples or small blisters. It is more likely to occur on the neck and upper chest, in the groin, under the breasts, and in elbow creases.Treatment
Move to a cool, less humid environment. Keep the affected area dry. Dusting powder may be used to increase comfort, but avoid using ointments or creams that keep the skin warm and moist and may make the condition worse. Hope that this helped!! All the best,*Nicky
You sound out of shape, do you exercise regularly
could you be pregnant?
well, it is summer!
anyways excersise is good for everyone and i get red in teh face with headaches too. it just probably means that you need excersise. when u keep it up, it will most prob. go away =P
There is an adjustment period for weather changes, and with your activities outside - I would, if possible, cut down on the time in the sun - have longer "rest" (shade) periods - and as you feel more acclimated, cut the rest period down.

Why empty stomach before surgery?

i am going for a simple surgery which involves draining water trapped behind my ear drum. However the doctor kept on telling that i MUST not drink/eat the midnight before surgery. why is it so important and what if i did eat and drink before the surgery?
Answer:
You have gotten alot of almost correct answers but I'm here to give you the scoop.
Not only can the anesthesia that is given can cause you to get nauseated,so can the pain,so can the antibiotics they administer for healing processes but anxiety can too.
Sometimes just as you are wheeled into the OR they will give you an antiacid so to neutrelize your stomach acids that now sit on an empty stomach.
Even if the above mentioned things do not make you nauseated and throw up,the fact that they often times put a breathing tube down your throat to provide anesthesia gases and oxygen while you are asleep, when they remove that tube it causes one's gag reflex to kick in and that can cause vomiting.
To vomit and to aspirate fluids or food from the night before can not only cause you to get pneumonia,it can also cause burns in your lungs from caustic stomach acid.
Caustic acid burns in your lungs is horribly painful and hard to treat and can leave scars in your lungs.
Given this information you need to listen to the instructions that your Dr has given you and DO NOT eat or drink anything after the prescribed cut off period.(This time period given to you will allow your stomach time to empty itself.)
Because sometime when they put you to sleep it can be dangerous for you if you eat. Call and ask your doctor for specifics on this but thats is the general reason why..I know it has something to do you puking and chocking on it. But yeah.. good luck on your surgery!
Because different people have different reactions to the anasteshia (probably spelled wrong). They don't want you throwing up while your under, you could suffocate or choke to death.
They do not want you vomiting up acid and food and having it go to your lungs which will cause pneumonia. This is a serious concern for someone going under surgery so take it seriously.
Good luck
Any kind of anesthetic they give you can make you nauseous. Plus, if they have to give you certain medications during the procedure, these may need to be given on a fasting stomach. So don't eat.
So you don't throw up on the operating table, or need to go the bathroom immediately thereafter.
You shouldnt eat or drink before surgery so you do not become sick while under the drugs that they use to knock you out for surgery. If you start puking while in surgery it can cause pnumonia or even death if you were to aspirate your vomit.
Anesthesia makes a lot of people nauseous or vomit. Any time you are put under anesthesia, doctors give the same instructions, but I would guess that this would be amplified even more if they are working on your ears. In addition to choking, if your stomach is not empty, you could aspirate your food and contract pneumonia. This is how a lot of Alzheimer's patients die, after they can no longer eat properly = (
For your safety.
When u are under anesthesia your body movements are not under your control . So u can take in your windpipe whatever is in your stomach. So guess it better be empty to avoid choking.
There is normally a 6 hour fast so that nothing is in your stomach by 6hrs.Happens with everyone who's gonna be under general anesthesia.
Best of luck !

Why due you get pain from weather at previous injury sites?

I haven't being feeling 100% good. I feel like I'm on my own no Dr. seems to care all they do is prescribe some pills to calm me down but they don't really try to find the reason behind my simptoms they only give me something to sleep that way I wont feel that anxiety but once I woke up I feel the same.

You are correct in that Today's doctors are really not interested in getting to the systematics of an illness. Even if the doctor referred you to a specialist. Most, but not all doctors are in the former profession(medical)strive for a daily high volume of patient output(non ER). If the doctor can match a pill to ailment that will be the done deal(it would be nice to see what the majority of their retirement portfolio is vested into). If you go back to see the doctor again will aptly refer you to a series of unnecessary expensive procedures that require the employment of machinery that pays dividends to shareholders who hope you remain ill. Note:always ask for a copy of physicians notes prior to leaving and discuss discrepancies and lack of any important items failed to list.
Green tea, drinking plenty of clean water and take note on situations that exasperate the anxiety. Rest. Look for those doctors that are at least 2x your age,you may find caring person who is not out to put you through the gamut
The problem is that they are being forced to be "producers" like someone assembling a car. This is made worse by the fact that fewer people are taking responsbility for their health and assume they are "healthy" just because they don't have any symptoms. The result is a massive rise in metabolic disease, which is laregly caused by poor lifestyle choice, which makes it harder to care for people who are dealing with sudden, accute issues.
Consider that Dr.s have 100 times the patients that they used to have, and everyone of them is used to seeing people complain about not serious symptoms. If you have anxiety go to a therapist, a Dr. s job is to prevent you from dying.
most of them are there for the almighty dollar and running people thru their office like an assembly line. I think it sucks and if they tended to their patients like they should more people would not be suffering needlessly.
Most doctors are now employees of the HMO's and punch a timeclock like everyone else. They must follow the guidelines that the HMO's set for them and aren't really free to practice medicine like in the old days.
Sometimes it's better to not go to Doctor's what's on you insurance cause HMO'S , PPO'S or Co-Pay Doctor's are suppost to charge a set fee on visits to save the insurance companies money that's why they have to send in certain codes for their billing. Some insurance companies even give like a bonus to the Doctor for saving them so much money. But you can find Doctor's that are not HMO, PPO,or Co-Pay and get better care that's if your willing to pay out of your pocket.
Also your not rushed out .
Most Doctors are so detached from their patients. It's like they only see them as a number. It's gets worse the older they are. It's like you trade experience for enthusiasm.

Why Dose my Left Big Toe Feel Hum? (Read/Click for details)?

It was my 2nd day at work, my first job. I'm a Dishwasher...
i had 500 plates on Platform, and i tried to move the platform over a waterproof rug. it didn't work as i thought it would. it Tipped over and i think it lanned on my big toe, one plate broke. 499 plates lived....my toe doesn't hurt, it didn't change color, i can move it. but it feels Hum. Why is this?
Answer:
if you can still move it, that means the nerves are not damaged, so there is nothing to worry about itit should recover in a few days
I'm guessing that you mean it is "numb"? It's numb because you injured it. It should be back to normal in a few days or a week. Don't worry. I'm glad 499 plates lived.
Don't worry it will resolve itself. If it goes white/blue %26 cold or mottled then you need to worry, otherwise relax, you've damaged a nerve or two.

Why dose my head hurt and full?

Answer:
sounds like a sinus headache
You might have allergies or a sinus infection.
ditto on the above answer, perhaps. but you don't provide enough info. it could be sinus but also a migrane or other possibilities. is your nose stuffed%26gt; if so, try washing it out (inhaling) with warm water and kosher salt (and a dash of baking soda). then blow your nose. if the problem is sinus this will help clear them out and should relieve pressure inside your head.

Why don't they legalize herion & or weed. Both are better for you than the pills or other stuff they give you.

The more natural the better. Chemicals %26 manmade stuff has worse side effects on your body. Legalize the stuff %26 track the users.
Answer:
They have been known to hurt people more than the drugs that modern medicine has and even though modern medical drugs can be harmful if used for a long period of time, but if the people are using it correctly it shouldn't be a problem. By the way heroin isn't very "natural".
That may be true, um... but I'm sure they won't!Since when is herione natural?
last time i checked, heroin is NOT that good for you, nor is it "natural" you should know your drugs before you say things like that!!
weed, on the other hand, is debatable
Heroine is death dude even a huge pot head KNOWS that!
more quantity may hurt u
Since when is heroine good for you? This is a really big killer. It is an opiate and highly addictive. I hope that you can cope. I wish you well.

Why don't insurance companies cover chiropractor visits?

Answer:
My wife is a Chiropractor,Most all Ins, Company's do cover this, some company's can exclude this coverage,it depends on your package that comes with your policy.
It sounds like your not with a group plan, just call your company and ask if you can add this coverage to your plan,it will cost a little more but,it sure will be worth it.Good Luck..
Mine does, I get 12 visits per calendar year.
Mine does but we have to pay 250.00/family then it is covered all but our co-pay which is 10.00 but the chiropractor we go to is only 22.00/visit
Some insurance companies look at chiropractic care as "alternative medicine". Those same companies will cover orthopedic visits, treatments by physical therapists and consults with pain management specialists, but do not recognize chiropractic care, acupuncture, reflexology, etc because they are "outside" mainstream medicine.

Latly I Have Been Down And Feel Really Tired And No Energy!I'm Going To The Doctors To See If I Have Anemia! Answer:
It's good that you are seeing your doctor. There are a lot of things that can cause your symptoms. Anemia, thyroid issues, and even depression.all of which can be treated. Good luck to you.
start by trying to limit yourself to one capital per sentence. See how that works out for you.
You sound depressed, go see the doc.
Could be a combination of things. Missing your Dad would make you feel down. Having anaemia would certainly make you feel like this. As for the ex-boyfriend who keep saying he loves you: just don't deny your feelings. Its good that for his sake you're not saying it back 'cos you don't feel it, but if you have a change of heart, get back with him.
I think everybody feels like this at some time or another in life especially when there has been big changes to our lifestyle. Just get checked out by your doctor and hopefully all will be well there. Then just convince yourself that this is just part of putting everything negative behind you and it is all for the best and you can look forward to being happy in the future. Good luck.
nEVER mIND yOU wILL gET oVER iT.
Start by calling a shrink and getting a good psych evaluation. That will help out quite a bit. You sound like you are depressed, but with some many thoughts in one sentence there may be a lot more there. Go see the doctor.
You have been stressed by something or other and have become oestrogen dominantAnswer the preliminary tests at www.johnleemd.com or www.npis.info. Have proper saliva tests done see www.salivatest.com or www.npis.info and then take the hormone(s) as advised. Blood tests done NOT show active hormone levels.Oestrogen dominance happens because when stressed you do not ovulate so do not obtain the correct amount of progesterone to balance the oestrogen in your body. This can begin a vicious cycle in some women with a downward trend. However many women now know about this and have broken the trend and are fully recovered. If it wasn't for the success stories from women I'd never have bothered finding out about John R Leesee www.hormoneprofile.com or

Why don't hairs grow on your elbows or knees?

Answer:
It does, its just not as noticeable as other places.
yes they do , it just blends in with your skin tone cause the pigment around your elbows and knees are darker especailly if you spent time crawling or falling on them.
It might not seem like it really does, but it does... like everyone said it blends in and is not as noticable but dont feel bad cuz when I saw the question I had to look at my elbows. ...lol... I knew my knees grew hair cuz I have to shave my legs and sometimes I have to shave my knees. I love this question cuz it really made me think! But who knows everyone might grow hair on their elbows and knees but you! Then we would all be wrong. ...lol...

Why don't doctors use electronic medical records (EMR)?

Answer:
A lot of doctors do, and most would probably prefer to, but it's very expensive to set up a system. To really make it useful you have to enter all of the information you currently have in paper charts into the computer. It also has to be sophisticated software that allows you to search and enter data in multiple ways. And, it has to be secure because the database contains your patients' private health information. It can cost tens to even hundreds of thousands of dollars to set up a good system for a doctor's office.
We are all trying...there just isn't a uniformly great system out there (need someone to invent it), most have some problems; it also takes time to learn the system, money to install, and you have to overcome years of doing it the old -fashioned way, as well as have a back up system in case of failure.
A LOT of doctors do - but as some other people have stated, the cost can be prohibitive for a small practice. There are also a lot of choices to make; small software packages? Full EMR's with technical support? Will the EMR's in your price range interface with your labs? A lot of offices can't spare the people or the time to make the conversion. I've noticed that a lot of doctors that have been in practice for a long time are set in their ways - they like the flow in their office and aren't comfortable with change.
Many doctor's do use electronic medical records. However, I am a HIPAA and HIM consultant and I tell all of my clients not to bother with an EHR just yet. The reason I tell them this is because the EHR's on the market today are only gearded towards HIPAA compliance.Coming from a substance abuse health information background where the regulations are more stringent than HIPAA or any state statute or administrative code, the idea of an electronic medical record in this area has always been a matter of interest to me.When people talk about privacy and security the focus is usually on HIPAA, however, as substance abuse records have their own set of federal regulations regarding confidentiality and security for the written record I have often times wondered how it would be possible for an everyday EHR program to be used in this arena. What is good for a medical provider is not what is good for a substance abuse provider. However, substance abuse providers must also implement electronic health records. Currently the issue of substance abuse and behavioral health records don’t seem to be the focus; however the information that could be housed within these types of records is absolutely necessary in the event of a medical emergency. A podiatrist could inadvertently cause serious medical issues should he inject an alcohol based injection in someone using antabuse. This information would not be housed in a “regular” medical file unless the patient informed his/her medical provider beforehand that he/she was taking the drug. 42 CFR Part 2 is so stringent that EHR companies cannot say that their software is compliant with this law. This is a huge piece of information that could be missing from a "medical" record because it is not considered "medical". You could so easily have a patient who just underwent anesthesia assisted detoxification, who gets into a car accident, is unconscious and needs emergency surgery. The surgeon could take the patient to surgery use an anesthetic that is contra indicated and kill the patient. But because this particular health infomation was substance abuse related it wasnt available in the "medical" record. It is too risky to the patients to depend on an EHR in my opinion.
Some do, but one problem is that the "big boys" who set the rules have not agreed upon a standard format. Thus, a doctor's office might sink major money into buying a system, only to find out later that their system doesn't work with everyone else's and is therefore worthless. Another problem is that, at present, everyone expects the doctors to bear the expenses of buying and installing the systems, yet the current financial structure sends most of the financial benefits to the insurance companies and governmental regulators instead of to the doctors who bear the costs. One thing that might change the economics and promote wider adoption is a proposal to allow hospitals to foot the bill for the majority of the expenses of the doctors they work with. Many hospitals see this as desirable because it encourages doctor loyalty and standardizes the local software format.

Why doesn't my bruise go away?

I got a bruise about 6 months ago and it hasn't gone away. It doesn't hurt and I don't remember exactly how I got it. I think my puppy might have jumped on my thigh. Anyway, since it didn't hurt, I kinda ignored it. I have noticed that the bruise seems to have spread a little bit. I don't have the money right now to get it checked out. Does anyone know what it can be or atleast send me a link to a site with more info? Thanks.
Answer:
Hey there, I don't know if your bruise has yet gone away, but don't be completely scared if it has not, I played soccer for most of my life and my bruises had always gone away, but 3 years ago they just began to stay. They are the blue green color and look painful. They aren't but they just won't go away. I have had every test done on my blood and body including the doctors taking chunks of my bruises to be tested. There is NOTHING wrong with me. They have no idea why they won't go away, I have been given pills and creams but here they are, still today. So I hope yours went away, but don't be scared because I guess some people's bodies just like to keep them:) best of luck!
Look I don't mean to scare you but you really need to see a doctoe. Bruises that don't heal could mean blood clots or worse leukemia
you really need to have it checked go to a health dept or a clinic that go by your income for help
The only thing I know of that takes away bruising fast is ice. Do get check by your doctor though.
It sounds like your body is taken its time to heal. Everyone is different and some injuries are quicker to heal then others . If you are worried about to phone or go to your doctor about it.
Get it checked, could be serious. If you don't have the money right now, let your doctor's office know you will need to make payments, I don't think they can deny that if you request it up front. Please see a doctor. Could be something or could be nothing.
I recommend going to a doctor, and if you are taking aspirins or ibprofin frequently stop taking them. My mother took them and bruises appeared and then she stop taking them and her bruises started going away.
What I found:What Is a Bruise?
A bruise, also called a contusion (pronounced: kun-too-zhen) or an ecchymosis (pronounced: eh-ky-moe-sis), happens when a part of the body is struck and the muscle fibers and connective tissue underneath are crushed but the skin doesn't break. When this occurs, blood from the ruptured capillaries (small blood vessels) near the skin's surface escapes by leaking out under the skin. With no place to go, the blood gets trapped, forming a red or purplish mark that's tender when you touch it - a bruise. Bruises can happen for a lot of reasons, but are mostly the result of bumping and banging into things - or having things bump and bang into you. Fortunately, as anyone who's ever sported a shiner knows, the mark isn't permanent. How Long Do Bruises Last?
You know how a bruise changes color over time? That's your body fixing the bruise by breaking down and reabsorbing the blood, which causes the bruise to go through many colors of the rainbow before it eventually disappears. You can pretty much guess the age of a bruise just by looking at its color:When you first get a bruise, it's kind of reddish as the blood appears under the skin.
Within 1 or 2 days, the hemoglobin (an iron-containing substance that carries oxygen) in the blood changes and your bruise turns bluish-purple or even blackish.
After 5 to 10 days, the bruise turns greenish or yellowish.
Then, after 10 or 14 days, it turns yellowish-brown or light brown.
Finally, after about 2 weeks, your bruise fades away.Who Gets Bruises?
Anyone can get a bruise. Some people bruise easily, whereas others don't. Why? Bruising depends on several things, such as how tough a person's skin tissue is, whether a person has certain diseases or conditions, or whether a person's taking certain medications. Also, blood vessels tend to become fragile as people get older, which is why elderly people tend to bruise more easily. What Can I Do to Help Myself Feel Better?
It's hard to prevent bruises, but you can help speed the healing process. When you get a bruise, you can use stuff you find right in your freezer to help the bruise go away faster. Applying cold when you first get a bruise helps reduce its size by slowing down the blood that's flowing to the area, which decreases the amount of blood that ends up leaking into the tissues. It also keeps the inflammation and swelling down. All you have to do is apply cold to the bruise for half an hour to an hour at a time for a day or two after the bruise appears. You don't need to buy a special cold pack, although they're great to keep on hand in the freezer. Just get some ice, put it in a plastic bag, and wrap the bag in a cloth or a towel and place it on the bruise (it isn't such a good idea to apply the ice directly to the skin). Another cool trick is to use a bag of frozen vegetables. It doesn't matter what kind - carrots, peas, lima beans, whatever - as long as they're frozen. A bag of frozen vegetables is easy to apply to the bruise because it can form to the shape of the injured area. Also, like a cold pack, it can be used and refrozen again and again (just pick your least favorite vegetables as it's not a good idea to keep thawing and freezing veggies that you plan to eat!).Another way to help heal your bruise is to elevate the bruised area above the level of your heart. In other words, if the bruise is on your shin, lie down on a couch or bed and prop up your leg. This will slow the flow of the red blood cells to the bruise because more of the blood in your leg will flow back toward the rest of your body instead of leaking out into the tissues of your leg. If you keep standing, more blood will flow to your bruised shin and the bruise will grow faster.Minor bruises are easily treated, but it's probably best to talk to a doctor if:A bruise doesn't go away after 2 weeks.
You bruise often and you haven't been bumping into things.
Bruises seem to develop for no known reasons.
A bruise is getting more painful.
Your bruise is swelling.
You can't move a joint.
The bruise is near your eye.

Why does your head/face ache in the morning?

When I wake up in the morning my face/eyes/head ache for a few minutes. This isn't every morning, but sometimes so I wonder what makes it happen.
Answer:
this could be allergies and that's why it doesn't happen every day. I think you should see your medical doctor and find out what is really going on.
Sounds like sinuses to me.
Those who suffer from stress related, migraine, and cluster headaches have this in common. Early AM the body makes less of it's endorphins, a natural pain relieving substance, increases the release of adrenaline which is a vaso-constrictor, raising the blood pressure, inducing a vascular response in this type of headache. Also,a withdrawal from caffeine ,ergot's,and some pain medications taken the night before, can be the problem. It can also be the mechanics of sleep,restlessness,nightmares,... walking etc, stress and tension can all be blamed. If this is interfering with your life, see your MD,there are better choices today re: medications. Take care. SW RNP

Why does water (?) run out my nose when I bend over?

Answer:
Are you a swimmer? The first post is correct, and you may also be getting small amount of liquid storing in your sinus cavity. When you bend over it's just draining out.Its really nothing to be worried about.
The mouth bone is connected to the nose bone. Its the same thing when you laugh and milk comes out of your nose. It happens to me quite often! ;o)

Why does this happen?

i drank pop today and have been getting intense pains on my left side just under my rib. it feels a bit better when i breathe real deep, i got to tottaly relax. i think it might be the acid but i in so much pain any thoughts?
Answer:
It could be gas pains. Try eating some bread. Maybe two pieces. But if no change in it over an hour or so, or if it gets worse, call your doctor.
sounds like indigestion or trapped gas, if its intense go to a hospital it could be your appendix
I think you are right, acid or gas. All the carbonation in pop will give you a lot of gas. Sometimes those gas bubbles and cause pain in various placed in your abdomen.
Gosh, so little information.
Do you normally drink pop? Or is this only an occassional thing? Yes, it probably is the acid, especially if you aren't used to drinking pop. But then again, if you drink pop all the time, it could STILL be the acid, or worse yet, acid reflux. Is it like heartburn? Do you eat lots of spicy foods or tomato based foods? If it doesn't feel like heartburn, then does it feel like a muscle? Have you done any rigorous activities recently? Is that on the left side in the front or on the back, or on the side? If it is in the back, it could be your kidneys, on the side, it could be a muscle, on the front, could be stomach or even liver. (if it's up in the middle on the left side, it could be your heart? but it doesn't sound that high)If it continues and is intense pain, you should go to the doctor. MANY people think they have heartburn when they are really having a heart attack. If it is just indigestion or heartburn, a dose of Rolaids, Tums, Maalox, over the counter Zantac or Prilosec could do the trick. But that much pain, with a sudden onset, better safe than sorry. See a Doc.
i would say that you need to cut way back on the fluids with acid and drink more water--about 64 oz a day til you start to feel better --if you aren't feeling better over the weekend i would make an appointment to see a Dr. you might have a kidney or urinary tract infection and might need some meds to help with that infection--if things get worse over the weekend then i would head for the ER and be seen--its not worth being in extreme pain--cut the pop immediately though and see if that helps out--hope this helps and good luck!
Might be too much sugar. Try not to drink too much soda.

Why does the muscle near my tibia cramp?

I am an 18 year old man and for about two years now, whenever I am asleep at night, I have huge muscle spasms in my lower legs. One second I am asleep, and the next I am clutching my legs and moaning in severe pain. This lasts for a long 30 some seconds then it stops. This has only been happening for the past two years. Why is that and how can I help it?
Answer:
You still could be having growing pains, or your body is lacking in a vitamin. These cramps could also be due to dehydration. Drink more clear fluids and see if this doesn't help. Most people don't know they are dehydrated until it gets too severe. Recommend you see a Doctor for some real professional advise.

Why does skin swollen?

Yesterday, I was playing soccer, accidentally my friend tripped and all of his weight fell on my right foot. My foot then went on it`s side and I could feels my bone in my right foot crack..Today I went and saw the doctor and did some xrays, and he concluded that my right foot is swollen and that I will need that type of bandaid on it for a week, with some ice.My question is, why did my foot swollen in the first place ? I noticed late last night that my injured foot is bigger then my left foot. Why did it do that ?
Answer:
Why? Because your ankle was injured. Inflammation is the body's normal response to injury. When you move the bones around in a joint, body fluid rushes to the site. You need to get the swelling down by elevating the foot, applying ice and wearing the bandage. For more detail read up on the ''inflammation response'' anywhere on the web.

Why does putting your fingers down your throat make you sick?

Answer:
Your causing your gag reflex to work.
You are stimulating your gag reflex which in turn creates pressure on your brain and a singnal is then sent from your brain to vomit. It is a very deep rooted response of the body.
definitely stimulates your gag reflex. not a good idea to stick your fingers down your throat !
Now why would you want to go doing that?
You are stimualting what is called the glasopharangeal nerve, also called the Gag Reflex nerve, at the back of your throat and nose (oropharngx).
It then creates an uncontrolable uge to explell your stomach contents.

Why does my upper stomach hurt?

i hate a tamato and the next day i threw it up and my upper stomach hurts.i feel like im going to throw up and its kinda hard to breeve(sorry if i misspeled iT) and i need to lay down all the time? whats wrong with me?
Answer:
you gotta boo-boo?
if the tomato was still whole (undigested) then it sounds like you have a Shatzki Ring or some sort of narrowing of the esophagus. The causes of your symptoms vary widely and all require medical intervention. Go to your GP now and get it checked out it could be minor or very serious but until more is found on history and physical no one can be at all sure.

Why does my tendon hurt?

There is a tendon in my right knee that hurts everytime I move it. I am in Cross Country, so I run a lot. For some reason though, I do not feel it hurt while I am running. Only after. It is the tendon in the back of the knee. If you bend the knee at a 90 degree angle, you can feel it. It is on the left side of the right knee. Why does it hurt like this, and how do I make it stop? It is not severe pain, just annoying pain, and I have had it for about two days. Today feels worse.
Answer:
You might have tendonitis. Tendonitis (also spelled tendinitis) is an inflammation of a tendon. Generally tendonitis is referred to by the body part involved, such as Achilles tendonitis (inflammation of the Achilles tendon), or patellar tendonitis (jumper's knee; inflammation of the patellar tendon). Chronic overuse of tendons leads to microscopic tears within the collagen matrix, which gradually weakens the tissue. Tendons and ligaments are very slow to heal if injured, and rarely regain their original strength. Partial tears heal by the rapid production of disorganized type-III collagen, which is weaker than normal tendon. Vitamin E may speed up the regeneration of tendons through action on fibroblasts.
its posible you have a strained knee i do it hurts worse at night ice hot works ben gay is ok ice packs first ok if youre hip is out of place will cause knee pain and lower back pain hope i could helph you

Why does my son shake?

Everytime my 16 month old son wakes up he shakes or trembles as if he is cold? He has done it a couple of times when it wasn't cold, we asked his doctor and he said it was normal but he says that for everything. Does anybody know what this could be? It last about 15 to 20 minutes.
Answer:
i have never actually heard of that but i do know it is very normal for a baby to jump alot both awake and a asleep especially if he or she were a premiee. honestly i would go to another doctor just for a second opinion. at least it will give you comfort.
You need to pray for he is a son of God pray to God and ask for advice and comfort for your son.. Have faith
sounds like / possible seizure activity / to last that long / sounds like you do not trust / that Dr's judgment / it is time for a new Dr / good luck
Probably your son has low sodium. It means you give him a lot of of water that lowers his sodium. Don't give him too much water. Read some book how to feed your baby.
it might be a habit or child might not be geting engough personal attention, also try not to give him food before he go's to bed!
p.s. i did'nt go to medical school for nothing
hes fine...my son done the same thing i always thought he was cold but i always use to feel the back of his neck and he wernt ! i think its just like when you stretch your body shakes...dont no if you rson does this aswell but when my son woke he would just open his eyes really wide? maybe there dreaming !

Why does my skin peel when i get out of swim practice?

I just started on a new swim team at a new pool, and for some reason when i get out of the pool, i notice that the skin on my fingertips has begun to peel. I didn't do that at my old pool. Is it the chlorine levels or something? The same thing happened last year when i would polish the silverware at my job with this old cloth, but i thought the material of the cloth was causing it. Any explanations and/or solutions are welcome, thanx!
10pts
Answer:
Yes, it's chemical levels. Are any of your teammates experiencing the same thing?
If so, talk to your coach about having the levels checked in the pool.
Umm everyones fingers peel some just don't notice!
yes, ur skin is peeling becasue of the chemicals
Pools contain chemicals in order to maintain sanitation; this causes skin issues. Chlorine may be a part of this. In addition, water temperatures, and from time to time water depth, may cause fingers/toes to "shrink," which may be causing this.
It sounds like the chlorine levels are too high. Have your coach ask your team members if others are experiencing the same problem and have the levels checked. Use gloves to polish silver since the chemical reaction is causing your skin to degrade.
to much chlorine for your skin it gets over dry or you could be allergic to chlorine

Why does my scar hurt?

About 9 months ago I had my appendix removed, which left me with a nice scar (obviously). Up until today I have had almost no problems, but this afternoon it started to hurt really bad. My scar (about 2 inches long) and the area around it hurt really bad. It's weird because I have a couple of smaller scars from surgery also and those don't hurt. One of my friends told me that it might be because the temperature is about to drop significantly (I live in Wisconsin). Is this true? And how do I know when I should consult a doctor?
Answer:
It has nothing to do with temperature. There are cutaneous (skin) nerves that are probably being pulled on as the scar shrinks when healing.
If it hurts real bad, go to the doctor.
If it's bearable, use cocoa butter or skin lotion and massage the scar- apply pressure and rub the scar in a lengthwise direction. Use your thumb to get decent pressure. This will help flatten the scar by lining up the colalgen fibers that make the scar...it should also relive some of the hyper sensitivity you're having.
If the area feels warm to the touch,is red or swollen,it's infected. Either way, I would go see a doc. I have a few scars and they have never hurt.

Why does my right side always hurt when I exercise?

Every time I run or dance or do some sort of exercise.
What can I do to prevent it?
Answer:
That will go away with time. What happens is that, when you exercise, your liver is forced to deal with a large amount of blood that it isn't used to filtering. It has to clean larger amounts more quickly than normal in order for the body to get blood where it needs to go. That is what is commonly referred to as a "side stitch." You can't really prevent it, but your body will adapt to the increased work relatively quick.
it is common. we think maybe it is the liver that gets upset when it gets reduced blood flow because your blood is busy providing muscles. try NOT exercising to the point when the liver hurts. stop just short of it.
It may be that your right side is less limber than your left. As for me, I have been going to the gym for months now, however I do notice different pains in different sides of my body. Upper half...left side...lower half...right side. I have equated my left aches, especially in the shoulder, to calcium deposits. Could be the same on my right side as it involves the hips. Back to my first comment...could just be that one side is more limber than the other and needs a little extra attention. If you are really concerned I would suggest a medical opinion.

Why does my right shoulder hurt?-when I turn my head to the left my neck cracks?worried ectopic pregnancy?

I am worried that I am having an ectopic preg cuz of my shoulder hurting. However as explained above my neck cracks when I turn my head to the left. It has been hurting for a couple of weeks. Could it be possible that I just strained it lifting my boys and always using my right arm?
Answer:
Go see a chiropractor, not a gyn. Carrying kids and doing all the physical work required by that throws your back and neck out in minor ways that eventually add up to misery.
That's a far more sensible thing to do than think you are having an ectopic pregnancy. Even if you are pregnant, its more likely to be your neck and spine than an ectopic pregnancy making your neck crack.
it's very possible it's strain from heavy lifting. I'm sure it's got nothing to do with being pregnant in any way. go to a doctor to find out for sure.
Huh? It sounds like a muscle prob. Maybe you strained it or slept funny. Im sure your shoulder has nothing to do with an EP.

Why does my right foot always twitch when I'm drifting off to sleep?

Answer:
your muscles are relaxing from the day. mine do that also that is when i know i am relaxed enough to sleep.
Alcoholism. You drink too much. Quit being such a drunk.
It could be from medication. I used to take a medication and when I got off of it it caused me to have muscle spasms. When I am dosing off my leg or my arm will start to spasm. It is very annoying. If that is not the case then maybe you need to go see a dr.
eat something with potassium in it like a bannana before you go to bed.. that should do it

Why does my neck crack when touched, or moved?

When I was born, my neck was slightly fractured during delivery, my head slumped to the right for a long time. Now, when I touch the round shaped joint on the back of my neck or move my neck around, it pops on its own. Could it be double-jointed? Should I have x-rays done? Any suggestions will help. Thx...
Answer:
There is no such thing as being double jointed. Hate to disappoint you.I would go see a chiropractor. They don't typically charge as much for xrays as the hospital or an md and they can give you an opinion as to why your spine is doing what it is doing. My guess...you have very loose ligaments due to the injury you suffered at birth, and the bones don't stay where they are supposed to. If it doesn't cause you any pain or discomfort, I wouldnt worry about it.

Why does my muscle/arm hurt after a needle??

I got two needles (measles and menajitus or w.e.) 2 days ago and it started hurting yesterday. It's stiff and swolen and i can't lean on it or sleep on that side. Is this a problem? What Should i do?
Answer:
It is normal to have pain at the injection site after an immunization. At this point some warm compresses will help to soothe the discomfort. You do need to monitor it though. If any redness or warmth should develop you will need to return to the doctor's office.
Did you get a tetnus shot too? Those always hurt- thats normal. If not, call your doctor and ask for his advice. Something could be wrong, but probally not.
well some shots can make your arm feel sore for a little bit its normal its not seriouse. like one time a got a tetnus shot and my arm was a little sore but it goes away i think alot of shots do that so there is nothing to worry about.

Why does my little toe hurt so much in the night?

As soon as I put my foot on the ground after getting out of bed it stops hurting but its annoying to have to get out of bed a couple of times in the night. Also my fingers on my left hand are numb after sleeping. What is the cause of all this?
Answer:
It could be a circulation or bad nerve problem.
It might be trapped nerves, Try massaging your toes and fingers before you go to bed, see if that helps.
in growin toe nail
it probebley comes alive at night(no only joking)i think what grub said is right bad circulation
I don't know about the little toe part, but as for your fingers, you might be sleeping on top of them.
your toes pain is definitely caused by your shoes and the hands are most likely a nerve disorder, don't worry it's easily cured with exercise.and more comfortable shoes
Same with me it`s caused by bedding being to tight or heavy plus when laying on tummy, putting pressure on
the mattress with toe/toes
sounds like circulation problems

Why does my left knee always go out when i run?

had this problem for the past 8 months or so; my knee gets very painful during a run no matter how much rest i give it
Answer:
You need to go to a specialized running store. They might have a camera to tape you while you run. Then they can fit your shoes with special inserts. Also, it could depend on the shoes you wear. Get attention to it now, or you won't be able to run for very long.

Why does my left arm hurt and then becomes numb afterwards?

The pain really sucks. Like I usually have this pain in my legs and I can't sleep especially if its at night. It's like a stinging pain and then it keeps moving throughout the leg but now its my arm and then afterwards it gets really numb and I can't move it or feel my fingers. I don't know why. I went to my doctors for my leg issue a few years ago, and he said it's cause I dont get enough exercise? but same with my arm? Arms needs ..execise? I dont know..
Answer:
Change doctors, this is not right for your arms to be going numb. Unless you are a couch potato which I seriously doubt. See another doctor, and don't let him blame it on you time of the month either. Doctors are idiots.
I would go to a different doctor this time. I don't think it's because you don't get enough exercise.
go to a new doc could be your heart http://www.dontforgettotakeyourvitamins.

Why does my knee hurt?

Why does my knee hurt?
yesterday i did not do much. i went for a walk and played on computer. when night came around i started gettin pains in my knee. it hurts even today to put wieght on knee. yesterday knee had bump and swollen today jusy swollen. any ideas for this mystery? i am 22 so not growin pains. it is a mystery.
Answer:
There's a reason why they invented emergency rooms.Maybe that's it, you hit it off a wall or something like that.or maybe its your knee cap, most regular knee pain comes from that S.O.B
sounds like a mystery..but really it sounds like you bumped it or received an insect bite, since there is a noticeable bump.
it's because you bumped it =see Dr to check it out
cuz u didn't watch where u were going and triped and fell
It hurts because it is inflamed. The inflammation should go away within a day or so. In the meantime, RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) should help. If it doesn't, then you should go in.
You could easily have walked too long or stepped off something wrong and twisted it an not even noticed it at first.I'd go to your doctor and make sure you didn't injure yourself to the point you need to be off your knee, else make it worse.
probably just cancer.

Why does my hips and knees hurt when i walk and when i sit down?

they do not swell or anything they just hurt like mad!!
Answer:
You should maybe look into the arthritis problem. My knees hurt all the time and my hips but don't always swell up. Have you seen a chiropractor? Mine has helped me tremendously, in fact I broke one of my vertebrae last March and my chiro is the ONLY one who let me know. The ER did not xray my back, I had an MRI and my other dr did not say anything, you could go to family dr but chiro's know more about bones than most family dr's
Doing Stretching exercises everyday might help with the pain also. I take Aleve for my arthritis which helps me.

Why Does My Head Hurt After I pee,I Mean My Head With The Brain(there is a story behind it,plz read)?

im 14,by the wayok, about 3 months ago,my friend accidentely hit me in the head with a big rock,he didnt mean to though, and it swelled up,well 3 months later,it is still swollen, and it hurts really bad after i get done pissing, because when i try to get the rest out(guys know what i mean) everytime i push,my head will start to hurt really really bad, like im about to cry,and today i did get brought to tears,it hurts so bad,i cant stand it,and it still hurts all the time, but it hurts worse after i get done pissing, and i hate it soo much,i get a pounding headache, and when i get it bad,my head basically turns, and i dont know why,it turns with the pounding of my headache, its on the left side of my head, right behind my ear,and i dont know what pissing and my head has to do with each other, but they do,and it hurts really badhelp me out plz(and for the perverted people, i mean the head on my shoulders)just tell me what i can do,pleaseim goin to the doctors soon thoughhelp
Answer:
DONOT and i mean it DO NOT take any pain pill. with headaches you never take any pain killer. A bone in your skull could be fractured, the spinal fluid had come out and made the lump on your head that puts some pressure on the nerve that is activated when you pee. This is my thesis. It could be correct. Go to a doc and have a CT scan, MRI and X-ray.
best of luck.
For future reference, you should probably see a doctor whenever you take a blow to the head. Especially from a rock.
Go to the Doctor now. Don't wait for an appt. Go now.
Go to the doctor today or as soon as possible. Tell your parents about it, or an adult friend or relative you can trust who can take you to the doctor.Make sure the doctor sends you to get an x-ray also. You could have a fracture.I know you don't want to get your friend in trouble, but don't worry about that. This is best way to fix this.Is there someone, like a nurse or medical person at your school you can see today? Then she or he can send you to a doctor if they think it is more serious.
I'm sorry to hear that. But I think u should Take pain pills until u go to the doc cause u don't deserve to go through that pain.
And u should or have your girl to put ice down there .good luck
Check out a doctor immediately. Sounds pretty fucked up. I would just take it easy if I were you, avoid a lot of rough movent and defintely see a doctor.
I cannot stress enough how important for you it is to go to the doctor NOW. Don't wait anymore. Get an appointment for AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. You might even go to the ER, this sounds bad. There isn't much else you can do at this point. I hope everything goes well!
you should see a doc ASAP! If the doc can't get you in today then go to the ER. Head injuries are not something you want to mess around with. Good Luck!
#1. I'm female
So forgive me for maybe not really relating so here goes.
I hope not to sound totally like other users. First, when you got hit in the head, you should have put ice on it to relax and soothe the swelling. Next, when you had to urinate, and then you felt the pains, that's when you should have called a doctor. But since you didn't, I'm like you. I don't know what's going on. But going to a doctor's office is VERY embarrassing when it has to be aimed torwards genital problems, but for this specific situation, I think the safest way is for you to REALLy see a doctor for your sake.
It sounds like you have some serious complications from being hit in the head. you really need to see a doctor soon.

Why does my front leg hurt? Tibia/Fibula?

Now i am just sitting down resting and my either tibia or fibula starts to get a shooting unbareble pain the goes away every other minute this occurs. Why?
Answer:
There are a million reasons this could be happening. The tibia (your shin bone) is subject to bangs and bumps every day, so much so that we hardly notice them at times. The fibula (in behind) while not usually bumped in normal activity still contains connections to tissue such as ligaments, tendons and muscles. All of these are subject to spasm, which can be caused by no other reason than they want to (that is a kind of joke...). If the pain continues, seek a physician's assessment. In the meantime, you can try soaking in a warm bath or applying a hot water bottle to the affected area (if it's isolated). Unless the pain is constant and changes intensity, chances are it's nothing more than a spasm (assuming you have not been doing something during the day which may have injured it...such as jumping on a trampoline or other athletic activity you don't usually do on a regular basis.) As painful as these spasms can be, they are not a problem...well, not a permanent concern at least. Other than reading an x-ray, there is no way of telling if the bone has been injured. A physical exam is required, along with a history, but the x-ray would be needed to confirm or deny bone injury.
Could be shin splints.. Do you run?
if it only happens at rest or just before sleeping it could be restless leg syndrome...if it gets better when you move it around, and only bugs you at rest, that is a sign of it.

Why does my foot hurt?

Besides the obvious i will be going to the doctor soon but i'm not sure why or how this happened? The middle toe hurts where it is connected to my foot (3rd knuckle). There is no bruse and it's been hurting for about a month or so. It really hurts when i squeeze it from the sides in. Any ideas on what it is?
Answer:
Because its too big for your mouth.
might be broken, still get it looked at to make sure there is no infection setting in
There are a lot of structures in and around the the knuckle. If it hurts while squeezing, it could be a neuroma which is an inflammed nerve that can affect the 3rd toe joint and sometimes the 4th toe joint. X-rays will likely be taken to make sure nothing is broken. It can also be inflammation of the capsule or even the bursa underneath the knuckle so a good physical exam will be able to rule these things out. You should go see a podiatrist (foot/ankle specialist). Until then, ice and Advil/Aleve for the pain. I think you may need a custom insert at some point. Hope this helps!

Why does my elbow hurt when i play tennis, or play ball ( catch)?

usually when i throw a baseball and play catch this starts, and it right at the joint in my elbow.. does this have any relations to ""tennis elbow"" - and wat is tennis elbow
Answer:
It does sound like "tennis elbow". It is actually an irritation of the tendons around the elbow. They could be strained, sprained or just pulled. You really do need to see a doctor as this can cause long term problems or permanent damage if not taken care of.
Sounds like tennis elbow to me which is basically elbow tendonitis. See your doc for a diagnosis and treatement.
Tennis elbow is actually just an inflammation of the tendons in your arm. It doesn't have to be in your elbow at all (currently mine is all up my arm). Go to your doctor as he/she is the only one who can really diagnose it. The recovery is VERY slow so don't wait! Some that will help though:Take this cocktail of vitamins and in like 6 weeks you should notice and improvement (i know it seems like a long time, but that's just the nature of the beast).- MSM (1000 mg tablets)
- glucosamine sulfate (500mg) %26 chondroitin sulfate (400mg) - should be moxied in the same pill
- Flax (1000 mg)
- Devils clawTake the cocktail around the same time once a day. Good luck!

Why does my brothers stomachache doesnt stop?

he walks funny and it hurts everytime he moves
Answer:
Perhaps your brother's "stomachache" is more than a minor digestive issue. He could have anything from an bowel impaction to a bleeding ulcer to appendicitis. You may want to consider encouraging your mother to take him to the doctor for a complete evaluation.
Not enough info.
He needs to go see the doc now. He might have appendicitis. Have someone take him to the emergency room right away.
He's just been working out a lot. I have it too.
tell him to go to the doctor
He's not the one that ate the thumbtack is he?? If not, it could be a number of things. It could be as serious as appendicitis (where the appendix is in inflammed) to something as simple as "gas". How long has this been aching him?Knowing what it is can be critical. If it is appendicitis, it could be fatal if untreated, mainly due to peritonitis and shock. My brother had appendicitis. Then again, we all have had "gas" and well, just some good ole "Gas-X" 'll do the trick (given a little time).Which is what is important and why I asked, how long has his stomach ached?
He probably has appendicitis. You need a doctor's assessment ASAP. Go instead of asking here.

Why does my broken knee pops continuously?

I broke my knee about 4 years ago or so, it was factured in two places. I met with the orthopedics doctor recently who explained to me that my knee was in excellent conditions. Why does my knee continue to pop?! It is only the knee which I got broken. Sometimes It's my ankles as well but the majority of the time it is my knee as well. What may I do to solve this problem of mine? Thanks.
Answer:
My knees pop ALL the time to and when I asked my knee doc about it he said it had something do with ridging under the knee cap. It鈥檚 not harmful in any way but your knees will make a popping sound. There isn鈥檛 anything you can do to make it go away.
ask the orthopedist.

Why does my breast starts to ache when its very cold( air cond)?

Answer:
because the cold makes the nipples constrict, to try and keep them warm. like the way you get goosebumps and shiver, it's to generate warmth. the constricting puts pressure in the sensitive nerves, and causes the pain.

Why does my back ache?

Answer:
you could have a kidney/bladder infection if lower back and if your back hurts BAD when you pee, maybe pulled muscle, or probobly just soor from working to much on it or something. Can you give more details?
maybe your mattress is crappy.
add more details it could because you spend all day hunched over your computer
could you tell me more? It could be your mattress, or you might have pulled a muscle. Do you have a very demanding job in labor? You may have lifted something very heavy. Take a advil or something specialized for back aches. I hope this helps.
How could we possibly know that?? Uh... whatcha been doing?? Playin' tennis? Movin' bricks? Crashin' cars? Pickin' too many flowers?.How old r ya? May have something to do wid it. My back aches from a doctor messin' around when she shouldn't have been! You'll have to submit more information. I believe you have a bit of an idea as to why your back aches.
Maybe, it's a lack of ab and lower back muscles. Why not try doing some crunches, side crunches, and for the back try the reverse crunches. Facing the floor with lower tummy laying on weight lifting bench with feet holding on to something. Take ibuprofen if you can't bear the pain. It's an anti inflammatory. Also, mattress may be too soft.
there are many possible reasons, the best thing to do is going to the doctor, and I really mean it. Sometimes you think that what you have is something normal and it is not. Remember our body gives us a sign of something going wrong.

Why does my arm shake ?

SO right after washing the pots at the sink i sit down with a glass of water and my left arm started to shake when i lifted it, when i put it down it stopped, and now my little finger is numb, by the way im right handed if that makes a difference. Could this be serious, i am a little freaked out.
Help Please
Answer:
I don't think it is serious. Your left hand is weak and it is normal for this to happen if yuo did something that tired you out. You just need to relax.
This is very different check the tips of ure fingers if they are a differnt colour to what they are supose to be like very red or purple it culd be somthing to do with ure heart. I cant explain why u shake maby u have nurve troubels you must go and see your doctor good look friend im sure everything will be fine.
Most important dont worrie about it to much as this maybe the cause.
Hi,
Unless you have shooting pains down your left arm, or in the center of your chest, it is most likely you just overexerted the muscles washing the pots; especially if they were heavy ones. Here are the warning symptoms of a heart attack from the Mayo Clinic, one of the most respected medical facilities in the world:Pressure, fullness or a squeezing pain in the center of your chest that lasts for more than a few minutes
Pain extending beyond your chest to your shoulder, arm, back, or even to your teeth and jaw
Increasing episodes of chest pain
Prolonged pain in the upper abdomen
Shortness of breath
Sweating
Impending sense of doom
Lightheadedness
Fainting
Nausea and vomiting Too much caffeine can cause hand tremors. Also, if you pinched a nerve in your arm by resting against the sink, it could cause the numbness in the hand. I wouldn't worry about it.I am an ex-certified nursing assistant, if that helps. If you wake up tomorrow with the hand still numb, make a doctor's appointment. However, I don't think you need to go to the ER, unless you have multiple symptoms as listed above.

Why does my arm hurt after donating blood?

I recently gave blood for the first time and the girl who stuck me had trouble hitting my vein. I have good veins (from what I was told) but I felt a sharp, tingling kind of pain when she stuck me. She didn't get blood right away and had to get help. The second attendant moved the needle out a little and kept intensifying this sharp pain I was feeling. It wasn't the normal pain you feel when you get stuck, but kind of like a burning pain all down my arm. Its been three days now and it still feels the same. ITs a very strange and uncomfortable feeling. What did they do to cause this pain??
Answer:
It sounds as if the needle was resting against a nerve.Nerves and veins are very close together in the arm, and an experienced and well trained phlebotomist (person who draws blood) knows how to slide the needle into the center of the vein in order to minimize any risk of getting close to a nerve (or touching a nerve). If the needle had touched a nerve or if the needle had pierced a nerve you would have had immediate screaming pain - a feeling as if your whole arm is on fire while someone is cutting your arm off. so it is unlikely that they actually touched or pierced a nerve. But based on your symptoms and the actions of the phlebotomists that you describe, it certainly sounds as if they were close to a nerve - close enough to irritate it - and it's possible that the nerve was right next to the wall of your vein (and since they had trouble getting the needle placed properly, the needle was probably near the vein wall instead of in the middle of the vein where it belongs).Because you are still feeling the pain, you need to go visit your doctor to make sure that they did not cause a permanant injury (very rare but possible) to your arm. Nerve injuries need to be taken seriously because nerve injuries can continue to get worse and worse if they are not treated - so it's important to go see your doctor soon because if you do have a nerve injury you want to start treatment ASAP so you can minimize the long-term effects.I'm sorry that this happened to you, but I hope that you will continue to give blood in the future because it helps saves lives. Thank you for being a blood donor! Several members of my family are alive today because they got a blood transfusion, so thank you for being a donor! And I really hope that when you donate in the future you get a good Phlebotomist who knows how to do a proper stick. (In some states, phlebotomists do NOT have to be certified, but you have the right to ask for a certified Phlebotomist whenever you have to have blood testing done or whenever you are donating blood - just something to remember in the future to help you avoid any further unpleasant and painful experiences).
I don't donate blood.. I think I probably need it.
That doesn't sound too good, I hope a doctor or nurse can answer your question
aaahhh dude you just gave blood of course your hand is going to feel funny the only problem you should be worried about is if the arm is swelling then you might have an allergic reaction
Go to the doc and let them know - Really you may have a bp problem - Blood pressure!
I've had blood taken before and my arm was also sore.
I think its probably just the fact that blood is being pulled from your veins,
your best bet is to ask your doctor, but im sure you're fine!
uh oh youll prolly have to have it cut off
sucks for you

Why does my ankle hurt? What should I do?

I am a 13 year old runner, dancer, skier, soccer player and just really active. I have moderate flat feet and are painful. So my podiatrist gave me custom arch supports. Yes, I do notice a difference, but they don't take all the pain away in just my right foot/ankle/knee. Lately I have been having trouble with my knee but that's a different story. After about 1 hour of wearing my arch supports in 200 dollar shoes my ankle starts to hurt. It gets progressively worse as I keep going. It hurts on the outside right on the round bone. What should I do and what could it be? Thanks!
Answer:
To be honest I do not think that you should be asking people on the Internet I think that you should definetly go see your doctor. This has happened to me before and it turned out to be Severs and Osgoodslotters disease. (That's mispelled) I was on crutches for about 3 weeks. Trust me see a doctor.
I'd recommend going back to your podiatrist to get the RIGHT arch support adjusted so it fits better. Very very rarely does one arch support hurt more than the other so go get it adjusted by him. Your knee pain is likely do to other things and not the orthotic itself and that's something you may need to get checked out by your orthopedist. Hope this helps!
Your knee pain is related to your flat feet. Would you like to correct them?
If the areas you describe are painful and swollen, you need to stop the pain and inflammation caused by your activities.Consider Cold Compression Therapy Wraps to be worn after every activity. They are cool. You can see them at http://www.coldoneinc.com.Tournament tennis players use them for their elbows, knees, and ankles.Good luck.
